We are hoping to host all information required for the big day on November 30th on here, so we can have a one stop hub for you all to refer back to! Lets begin!

To celebrate the amazing achievements of all Team Flying Kiwi Athletes across the Strong Hearts Program and Flying Kiwi Gym Attendees for the 2024 Season!

Our ticketing this year will be hosted on Eventbrite, with all ticketing fees inclusive of the 2 course meal, entertainment, and the dance party at the end of the night!

MENU AND OPTIONS

While every effort is being made to ensure the meals served will be to the highest quality, we understand some dietary requirements are requested by many attendees! Our Main courses will be an alternate drop, and will be Gluten Free and Dairy Free by default! However, if you need more specific requests, please let us know when you purchase your tickets under the “Dietary Requirements” section and we will hand it to the chefs to accommodate!

SEATING ARRANGEMENTS

There will be tables of 10, with no allocated seating, just on a first come, first served basis!

As we have mentioned, it will be a 4pm arrival for welcome drinks, photos and mingling, and a 5pm open of the doors – so pick who you want to sit with, and get in early!

ARRIVAL MAPS AND DIRECTIONS INSIDE

The Convention Centre is a big place! We are in the Plaza Terrace Room, on the “PLAZA” level of the complex.

If entering from the Main Entrance (shown below with the large stairs and hidden elevator on the left) from the Corner of Merivale and Glenelg Street up the large set of front stairs enter the “Main Foyer” area and go up the escalators on the right two times (Past the Mezzanine Level”) to be on the correct “PLAZA” level!

We are on the “PLAZA” Level, with easiest access from the escalators and elevators in the ‘MAIN FOYER” off Glenelg Street!

MAPS TO THE CENTRE

Making it to the centre is one thing, but the best parking and drop off zones make it much easier!

Easiest Entry for Taxis, Ubers and Drop Offs is the “MAIN ENTRANCE” on the bottom right of this map! They usually will drop you at the “Ride Share Drop Off, Pick Up” at the bottom right of this map, next to the Taxi Rank symbol. From here, you can enter straight up the stairs and into the Main Foyer!

ON-SITE PARKING

The Convention Centre has lots of on-site parking for those who need it, directly underneath the building!

The carparks are split into 3 sections. The closest parking to our room in the venue is CARPARK 1, however all 3 of their labelled carparks are onsite and walkable to the room!

Circled in blue, we recommend looking for Carpark 1, labelled here as P1 on the bottom next to the Taxi Rank, with entry from Merivale Street.

There may be more affordable parking nearby! There is a “SECURE PARKING” with an entrance across from the Centre on Merivale Street, at 32 Cordelia Street, with weekend parking listed at $20 if you book online.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long will the Formal go for?

We are hoping to be finished up all of our awards for the night by 730pm, giving maximum time for the attendees to enjoy the DJ and party atmosphere to top off the big night!

“How many people can we bring along?”

If you are purchasing tickets, we currently have no limit to the volume of people you can bring along to support your athlete! We had multiple larger groups attend last year successfully, however if you are going to have a group larger than 5 purchase ticket (not including the free ticket your Flying Kiwi Athlete receives), we would love for you to get in touch with us first!
